“Michelle is a clinician scientist with an interest in positive sense RNA virus replication complexes. She joined the Quantitative Virology and Evolution Unit (QVEU) at NIAID-NIH in January 2025, for her postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Dr Patrick Dolan to continue her research on replication complexes and investigate their role in virus evolution. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2024 at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore under the supervision of Dr Dahai Luo where she worked on the alphavirus replication complex in particular nonstructural protein 1 and its role in virus replication and 5’ capping. Prior to her Ph.D., Michelle was practicing medicine in Singapore and UK where she was an academic foundation doctor at the University of Cambridge.”
