“Daniel Morales is a Biology PhD Student at Florida International University in the Laboratory of Tropical Genetics and a NIH G-SOAR Intern in the Quantitative Virology and Evolution Unit under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Dolan. In his PhD work, Daniel is working to understand the host-virus interactions between various arboviruses which infect various mosquito species. Daniel is particularly interested in understanding the ecological and evolutionary dynamics at play in flaviviruses during the infection of their mosquito hosts.”
